After an agreed appointment by email or telephone, we will discuss the relevant knives,
which work process to suggest for each knife.
Of course, we also recommend which knives should no longer be sharpened.
repair services
How do we work?
To repair a knife, e.g. with a broken tip (from 1.5cm) or large nicks (up to 3mm), or severely damaged blades, we cannot avoid dry grinding. The affected areas are ground in such a way that a new blade is created.
(This will make the knife a little smaller!).
With this method, we take great care to ensure that the material does not overheat.
After the repair process, it is up to you whether you prefer sanding with a dry or wet treatment.
However, we recommend refining the blade after such an operation.
It seems like a rebirth of a tool.
It should be noted, however, that high-gloss blades become more matte.
For an additional charge, the knife or similar can be polished to a high gloss.
By the way: Repairs are carried out in our workshop using a sharpening machine with a rotating stone and grinding belt.
First, we draw the desired

In this repair process
we carry carefully
the material....
... until the desired shape is achieved,
that all notches are removed and the tip is reshaped.
Finally, the treated area is treated with a special grinding paste
polished on the leather honing wheel.
Here the cutting edge is checked again.
Now you can look forward to having fun working with your favorite knife again...
